It is appropriate for those who have developed slight wrinkles on the face and who do not wish to undergo an intensive surgery. People at the age between thirty and forty should opt for mini face lift.

Procedure

Mini face lift is an invasive facial surgery. It involves relatively minor cosmetic procedures. The surgeon performs the surgery through incisions. The patient is rendered unconscious with an anesthesia during surgery hours. Then, the surgeon approaches to make incisions in the facial area that is to be treated.

The procedure of the surgery may be endoscopic or non-endoscopic depending on certain conditions and factors. In endoscopic technique, the surgeon inserts surgical tools through incisions in the area under treatment. The surgeon reshapes facial muscles by removing excess fat that make the skin sagging. A laparoscopic tube with a camera is inserted into the facial area to provide a vivid picture of the procedure.

In a non-endoscopic procedure, the surgeon makes continuous incisions to turn over the skin to be treated. This procedure needs no catheter. After the surgery, the incisions are closed with stitches and dressed with sterile bandage. Both the approaches to performing mini face lift need minor incisions. That reduces the chance of developing surgical risks and facial complications.

Recovery

The recovery process is faster as the procedure of the surgery is simpler and shorter. You will be discharged from hospital one or two days after the surgery. The bandage over the treated area will remain for 48 hours after the surgery. To keep your head elevated while resting or sleeping for five to seven days at the postoperative stage is recommended.

The bandage is cut open and sutures are generally removed on the seventh day after the surgery. Most of the patients return to normal walk of daily life a few days after the surgery.
