Forehead Lift
Forehead lift is a recommended treatment for facial
wrinkles or frowning lines on the forehead. It is often
performed in combination with face-rejuvenating procedures
such as face lift, brow lift, chin surgery or lip surgery.
Forehead lift is an appropriate treatment for inherited
traits.
Factors that make the Forehead
Heavy with Rinkles and Frown Lines
Aging manifests its effects first in the forehead area of the face. The skin of the forehead loses its elasticity faster than the other parts of the face. Younger adults are at a risk of having their foreheads filled with frowning lines due to over activity or stress. Forehead lift is to the much of their benefit.
The scorching sunrays affect the forehead with wrinkles and frown lines. The wrinkled forehead makes people look over the hill even at the age of thirty years. People with wrinkled forehead look tired and pale. People in large number are going to opt for a forehead lift.

Different Incisions to Perform
Forehead Lift
Coronal incision is a technique to perform forehead lift. The surgeon makes coronal incision behind the hairline. The pre-trichial incision is an alternative technique. The surgeon makes this sort of incision at the hairline. The disadvantage of performing forehead lift by making incision is scarring. The incision heals favorably but lowers the hairline. To make incision within the creases in the mid forehead is a beneficial option. This option is good for persons with deep forehead lines.
Endoscopic surgery is a much-advanced approach to treating forehead lines and wrinkles. The surgery is performed through an incision of ½ to 1 inch behind the hairline. The procedure of the surgery is a bit longer. It takes 1 to 2 hours to execute the surgery. The surgery is performed under twilight anesthesia or IV sedation.
The Stage After the Surgery
Patients will experience bruising and swelling for ten
days following the surgery. Forehead, eye and cheek
areas usually become swollen after the surgery. Swelling
may cause discomfort. To lessen swelling and discomfort,
it is advised to keep the head elevated. Cold compresses
help reduce swelling further. Patients may also experience
some itching and numbness when the incisions begin to
heal. The itching sensation dispels gradually. The sutures
or stitches are removed seven to ten days after the
surgery. If incision points are dresses with bandages,
the surgeon removes them in two or three days before
patients leave for home.
Recovery
Patient can resume normal activities at the post-operative
stage. However, it is instructed to restrict hectic
or stressful activities after the surgery for a few
weeks. Even if, the recovery period does not last for
more than two weeks, strenuous movements should be controlled
for a long time. Patients should avoid bending, lifting
and straining at the early post-operative stage for
fast recovery. Exposure to the scorching sunlight harms
the operative facial part. It is better to use a sun
block in the sun to ensure long-term benefits of the
treatment. Meticulous care speeds up the process of
recovery.
